Shaquida Vergo is a California native and moved to Las Vegas to obtain her BA in Dance Production Management in 2012. She graduated from UNLV, Spring 2014, and is now a part-time instructor in the Dance Department. In addition, she holds an Associate's degree in Dance from Cypress College and a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governore's University. She is a Teaching Artists for The Smith Center Las Vegas, choreographer for Thurman White Academy choirs and cheer, and is the head of the Dance Department at Las Vegas High School. She has been teaching and sharing her gift with the city of Las Vegas for over ten years. She has been training in dance since age eleven and is also a lighting, sound, video, and costume designer, and a freelance photographer.
